Study post-translational modifications by mass spectrometry
Mass spectrometry is a very good way to study post-translational modifications (PTMs). When coupled to affinity purification, MS can be a powerful tool to get at broader look at PTMs between two treatments, specially with the data independent acquisition mode. These modifications can either be analyzed for one single protein, or for the whole lysate. For example, phospho proteomics services can help you to profile or quantify the whole phospho-proteome of your samples of interest. With the proper method, you could thus profile your samples for almost any post-translational modification.
